Defence of the final thesis
Defend your thesis
The defence of the final written thesis is usually held in conjunction with the comprehensive examination. It takes place before a three-member committee.
The final written thesis is graded A to E. This assessment is a prerequisite for meeting the requirements set out in the education plan. In the event that the participant is not graded A to E, a deadline for reworking the paper is set. If the revised defence is not graded A to E, the participant's training is terminated for failure to meet the requirements.Take a final exam
Final exam
The studies in the programme are completed by a final comprehensive examination in the profiling subjects, which the participant is required to pass. This examination is oral and is conducted before a three-member committee appointed by the programme guarantor.
The participant has the opportunity to take one regular and two re-sit examination terms in the semester in which the examination is scheduled.
The participant may also take the second re-sit examination in the semester immediately following. If the participant does not receive a grade from A to E even in the second re-sit examination term, the participant's studies are terminated.
If the participant meets all the requirements set by the study plan of the relevant programme and has fulfilled all the conditions set out in the contract, their studies are completed, and Masaryk University issues them a certificate of completion of the programme. A participant who has successfully completed the internationally recognized course has the right to use the designation LL.M. after their name.
